SOLIDWORKS EDU supports thousands of educators around the world as they inspire their students.  In the SOLIDWORKS Community, we also have parents that home-school their children – no matter what their age. Zebin Yu is a 3rd grader and when his mom gave him SOLIDWORKS, he looked at it as a game

First, he looked at his mom’s cell phone and started to recreate the outside mobile phone case.

Next he found a decorative bowl in the living room, so Zebin recreated the bowl.

Now came exploring assemblies, based on a robot arm he saw working in the lab.

What child doesn’t like a good hiding place? Zebin created a Luban Lock coin puzzle box, complete with animation using SOLIDWORKS Motion.

But my favorite model are these pretty purple flowers and vase assembly. They just make me smile – all from a 3rd grader.

SOLIDWORKS EDU provides licenses for home schoolers through the SOLIDWORKS Student Edition.

Educators, to find out more about using SOLIDWORKS in your classroom, visit SOLIDWORKS for Educators here.

Thank you Bonny CAO, SOLIDWORKS EDU and Gery DOU, SOLIDWORKS EDU China for localizing the content and the story.

Design well.  Marie
