When we look at the current list of world’s problems and crises, we tend to worry about how we are going to solve them. However, we must remember the many problems that humans have already solved. We invented a vaccine to prevent the spread of polio. The discovery of penicillin enabled doctors to treat formerly severe and life-threatening illnesses. Also, there are so many new technologies that have been invented: Airplane travel is only 100 years old, and the internet and wireless technologies are even more recent. We have perfected metallurgy and built skyscrapers over just the past 80 years, but somehow we still worry about who will solve today’s problems…
I believe that our today’s youth are the solution, as they have access to so much information at their fingertips, and should be able to solve problems easier than previous generations. These young people do need one thing, however, to solve these issues: inspiration or passion. I recently met up with 20-year-old Aidan Aird, and I’m immediately less worried about our future. Aidan might be the most passionate person I have ever met, and he is ready to motivate anyone to follow their passion and solve today’s problems.
Aiden is a young entrepreneur, inventor, business owner, college student, Guinness record holder, and he might be the person who solves a great problem or inspires the next great inventor.
