Simple Sheet Metal Part 7: This is a Sheetmetal part symmetric with respect to the Front Plane. Sheetmetal features are used so that the part can be flattened out to create a flat pattern. Flange sketch is similar to a thin feature where you don’t have to draw the cross section. All sharp edges will be converted into bends once it is extruded.
